Success at I/ITSEC 2004

Dec 6-9, 2004 - Another successful year at I/ITSEC in Orlando, FLA for Object Raku Technology Inc. We were pleased to introduce...
  • Object Raku Crowd Injector (AI), autonomous characters with behaviors that can interact with the environment.
  • High Fidelity, interactive, animated 3D Avatars within our Mission Rehearsal Central (MRC), Object Raku's multi-user collaborative 3D environment.

Object Raku Enhances LIDAR Utility with Research Effort

Sep 30, 2004 - Working in conjunction with the US Army RDECOM Orlando, Object Raku Technology developed rapid processes to automatically extract Features from LIDAR data.

Incorporated into the flag-ship Sextant software suite, this innovation is of key value to geospatial analysts across the US DoD and the commercial aerial survey industry. Object Raku was awarded these continuing contracts on the basis of the high-fidelity and extremely detailed processes in the application. Metrics were recorded and reported revealing remarkably rapid extraction times.

Object Raku intends to continue its research efforts to enhance the utilization of high-resolution DEMs for both commercial and military intelligence needs.

NGA and MRC

September 2004 The US National Geospatial - IntelligenceAgency (NGA) recently expanded their use of Object Raku's on-line collaborative portal, Mission Rehearsal Central (MRC) in a big way. Conscious of their need for high fidelity urban database visualization and their users' need to easily collaborate in those databases, NGA expanded their existing MRC platform for use in a worldwide networked event. This was the first in a planned series of on-line events demonstrating networked intelligence fusion.

Sextant Geospatial Comes Through for Force Protection

Aug 30, 2004 - The US National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) recently completed efforts aimed at force protection and security for an international event. Over 30 venues were created by NGA analysts and then made available to users on a secured network. "Sextant provided Mission planning, Force Protection support and mission rehearsal efficiency by providing predictive analysis capability as well as situational awareness to aid in disaster/incident analysis and security rehearsals/responses." said Joseph Koch, NGA Analyst.

"As all outputs from Sextant Geospatial are geared for web use, all of the Intelligence products were easily put on-line by our clients." says Mike Parlow, Director and co-founder of Object Raku Technology. "They managed production of the 3D scenes from multiple locations around the globe."

The venues created made heavy use of Sextant's hot-link capability with each location created containing from 10 to 30 hot-links. "The hot-link capability allows the user to place links in the 3D scene that spawn images, documents, spreadsheets - basically any application." Says Parlow, "This allowed for quick and easy reference to building floor plans, security procedure documents, and digital imagery."
